Mountain climbing

JAPETIĆ

Near the house, only five minutes of walking to the starting point of the route to the highest point of Žumberak mountain, there are beautiful hiking trails to the Jpetić (879m).

It is named a natural reservat of natural vegetation because of its untouched nature.

To the top of Japetić is 9 km and there is a way to get there by car. Mountain home is located in a place called Žitnica and it has homemade food and drinks on offer. On the top there is also a pyramid for you to visit, 12 meters tall.

This pyramid was on Medvednica before and its moved to Japetić after the building of the television tower on Sljeme.

PLEŠIVICA (779m)

Second by height in Samoborsko gorje and popular for visitors. On the top there is a 5 meters tall pyramid and geodetic tower.

7 kilometers away from Jaska, the east side is popular for vine houses. There are a lot of wine roads for wine lovers.

Cycling tourism (Jaska Bike)

Jastrebarsko with its sideways is one of 14 stops of cycling routes with local attractions.

Ciclotourists are led through 250 kilometers of steady routes by mobile phone application called Jaska BIKE. In offer are 8 different routes thru nature.

Family track, track of view, rock track, track of tradition, track of water, track of heritage, nature track or specific track of wine, every track offers something special and interesting for everyone. Find you own route and enjoy!

With help of app you can prepare for the route and find out about anything you can see on the route. App can help you choosing the best route for your preferences (distance of routes, hardness of routes, and timing for each).

With the app you can learn about wealth of Jaska gastronomy, inheritance, traditional elements or find your favourite vine.

BIKE RENTALS

Bikes can be rented, even electric ones. In town is a garage with 11 town bikes and mountain e-bikes.

Paragliding

If you looked in the sky and saw paraglides and thought how fun it looks, near the house is Japetić.

Starting point is below the mountain home Japetić.

Start is long and adequate for beginners on 820m of height.

Fishing

Lovers of fishing can enjoy lakes Dubrava, Gović and Park. Main species of fish arecarp, catfish, grass carp, tench, chub and bream.

Fishing is organized with daily fishing licences.

Doors of the Fishing club Slapnica are open for visitors and not only professionals.

Wine routes

The place is popular for Plešivica wine route that consists of 40 wine houses with excellent tourist offer.

Besides autotonic sorts you can try world famous sorts of wine that got a lot of prizes in Croatia and beyond.

Water

Water that springs in a couple of places in Sveta Jana is clear water with mineral compounds.

Because of the unique depth of source and mineral compounds in earth through which water goes through, water has amazing quality and taste.

When you drink water from its source, it is alive and it vibrates in harmony with nature, earth, minerals and rocks that water goes through so it’s energized and clean.

Exactly here is located the source of water Sveta Jana.

Besides drinking water on its source, in Sveta Jana there is a little swimming pool with natural thermal water in which circulates natural spring water that is a “cultural monument” restricted area.
